Aaron did have to give credit that his Skarmory was determined to prove his worth. The iron avian may have gotten blinded by the black gunk, but she still surged forward to try to get one last strike in. He missed, but did a last minute juke to avoid the first flamethrower. Aaron also had to give credit that his bird was also at least somewhat intelligent, as without any order or instruction, he followed the source of the heat back to Charizard and attempted another Slash. Even after that, a flamethrower took him down, landing in the middle of the field in a buffeting sandstorm. After the announcement that Skarmory was unable to battle, the little blonde returned his avian. And gave him some encouragement. "Fret not, you did well, Skarmory. After you get better, I'll pamper you proper." Storing the pokeball, he took out a different one. Magneton appeared in the sandstorm. As a steel-type, he too would be unaffected by the storm. Match Begin! "Lock-on." Magneton knew what would be next. The magnetic pokemon took aim, hopefully garunteeing its next attack's success. After a short time, it started to form a large electric ball, and fired it, its Zap Cannon. An attack that was normally pretty inaccurate, but with Lock-on, it was a lot better. If it hit, it also usually paralyzed a Pokemon. But if Noah taught him something, it was that you never knew about gym leaders. Alexei Ivanov
